Yoe: 1.5 yrs Current: Msft Loc: Seattle level: L60 TC: ~165k this yr (121 base, ~30k stock) Google offer: Loc: Seattle Level: L3 Offer: 127 base | 20k sign-on | 200k stock Stock is frontloaded so with 15% target, I'd be looking at 245k TC for the 1st yr. No competing offers. Thoughts? #google #microsoft #tech
Good offer for Seattle! Google refreshers are great so it'll keep increasing! Side question, bachelor's or Masters?
Bachelors
FYI with front loaded vesting your comp will be roughly stagnant assuming no appreciation
Can probably negotiate more stock? When did you start the interview process? I have similar yoe but was told by recruiter that they're not hiring for low yoe right now so i cant interview.
Ummm... So i didn't apply. The recruiter reached out in August. I put them on hold until my team's product/features were done. In October they followed up and said they'd just skip me to the final round which happened end of October
very interesting, seems like it depends on the recruiter...Ive heard of other cases like mine and other cases like yours where you're still able to interview. May need to get in contact with a different one. Thanks!
Did you have competing offers or was this the first offer from them?
No competing offers. This was essentially what i asked for
Any words on team matching? They're doing headcount planning right now so you might have to wait until that is done.
Matching is done before offers... So I'm already matched
When do you think itโll be done? Iโve seen posts of people who were in team match process since March just this month
Op how was your interview experience ? .. were you able to ace all the coding questions ?
Did really well in 2, okay in 1, bombed 1
I am on the same boat for an L4.. how long did you wait to hear back from recruiter ?
Hi Op, mind if I ask how did you get the interview for the Seattle location, referral or application?
Recruiters from amazon and google are always hitting me up on LinkedIn. When I was ready to start looking, i just said "okay". I didn't apply
Not too much difference, ask more
