6% commissions are now a thing of the past! Competition always drives down costs! I'm sure some realtors are pissed about this so watch those contracts for hidden fees to make up the revenue. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/realtor-group-agrees-to-cut-commissions-here-s-the-financial-impact/ar-BB1jXUvp?ocid=msedgntp&pc=NMTS&cvid=84192dbb23c54f83971c0287414ae887&ei=47

Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
It was never 6% , the real estate fees were always negotiable and around 5% . This just makes it a default behavior now, which is good overall. But in countries where there are no central real estate authorities, the fees still ends up being 4-5% and much harder for buyer and seller, because then each platform gets their own listings and not all homes are available to view every where. Decentralizing this will be net negative for sellers and slight positive to neutral for buyer for average priced homes.
Now the buyers have a say in commissions. That was not the case earlier.
Damn! Zillow in house. :)
