Try reading the act. Here is a tldr https://iowadot.gov/mvd/realid/real-id-home
It's an identity document not a citizenship doc. How about doing a little research before barfing your ignorance?
So cynical.ly, how about u shove that head of your back to where it belongs, deep in your ass...
Well for those who call me ignorant and other names, it certainly is implemented differently in diff states. And not all of them are accepting foreign passports so far
Which ones. Got a link?
In WA you can only get a real ID if you’re a citizen.
Example the state of wa, their real id implementation is an extended drivers license and they offer it as a replacement to a us passport for travelling to canada etc, and the requirements, obviously, is a us citizenship
TIL! But it is a dumb rule you have in WA. Compare that with NY State, which offers unreal, real, and enhanced. Unreal and Real have the same low fee. Enhanced is $30 extra. WA decided not to do the middle category, which is annoying.
In California, all you need for Real ID is proof of authorized presence. So if you have Daca, or a work visa, you can get Real ID. This is the same as NY State and a bunch of other states like Texas.
Yeah you are right
