My reason - it's not exiting any more with no new awesome features to pay the top $s to Apple. Your reason to not buy or buy?
It has a better chip and the camera is much better. I think it will better than my 12 Pro Max. However, I hate that it feels like I am carrying a Metal Bar. There is no significant weight difference.
I have a 12 pro max too. Feel the same. Don't think my next one would be a max. Pro is good enough.
Unless you're gaming, who cares about that chip? I see no performance difference between 11 pro and 14 pro while using chrome or any social app
It’s a decent upgrade if you’re still using the 11 or 12 like me but I’d wait for at least a couple of more iterations if you own the 13 or above
Proudly rocking the iPhone XR ;). Works pretty great. If I’m buying a 1000$ device, it’s lasting me at least 4 years. Plus, Apple still supports updates.
I bought an old XR off the marketplace for $75, traded it in for a new pixel 7 for total cost of $150 😂
Its exciting not exiting
I think you miss the point. Pay close attention to the features they highlight. Notice how most of them are features that they introduced the previous iteration or two, with the other half being the new features. The goal is to get people with 2-3+ year phones to upgrade, not get people with the previous year’s model to upgrade. Iterative upgrades for a 3 year horizon feel much more significant. I don’t really understand complaints like from people who make posts like these complaining about an iterative upgrade compared to last year’s model. Big leaps are rare.
Technology is incremental, but the "feature utility" is exponential. No new features released changes my utility exponentially. For example, the lidar scanner, changed the utility of the pro models exponentially (small feature, but exponentially utility).
Yeah Apple is such a disappointment. And I am stuck with apple card and savings accounts...
my reason to buy? my iphone x will complete 6 yrs of usage this november. my reason not to buy? my iphone x is still working. (also got iphone12 from work) Will wait for a decent offer before making a move.
Same here. I tried using a friends s23 ultra and Spotify experience on that irritated me. Not to mention the slow camera. Boring old ui with same micro lagging and abrupt transitions. These guys know how to make a phone but not a product. My iPhone X is still somehow superior on those aspects. Just gonna upgrade cause I’ve cracked up my screen and att has a $350 trade deal. I got a $300 off when I bought it for thanksgiving. So $450 for 6 years on an iPhone ecosystem with my mac and AirPods. Worth it.
that was the same for 14,13,12,11. but sheep keep buying anyways
Well, there aren't really decent smartphones out there for reliable long term (5 year) use. If I have to get a smartphone, I would only go the Samsung or Apple direction. The rest of the pack have one or the other issue. (I need one reliable smartphone in this century). Exciting - certainly not. Just forced to pay the top $ to Apple or Samsung every 5 years. Me being the 🐑 (forcefully of course)
Remember when the price of phones used to be no more than 300$ -450$ for a high end version?? The Iphone disrupted that Market. I felt its insane to put 1000$ into a phone a decade ago. But here I am thinking about my next iPhone thats 1200$
