The hesitation I have is that it’s a contract to hire, $65hr and it’s a 3 year project, should I be hesitant? Should I take it? It’s the first yes I have in the past 6 months of applying and interviewing #engineering #software @BOA
Easy to explain a short stint on resume by saying it’s a contract role if anyone asks
Role like this is solid gold, take it and keep looking
yeah take it and keep interviewing - bail the second you get a better offer, or stick with it. Market is tough so take what you can get, but have absolutely zero loyalty towards them and do what's best for yourself from now on.
I had a similar offer and rejected it, I’d rather prepare better for the interviews than allow those sons of a b$tch to hire me for peanuts
contract job > no job
Take it and keep interviewing. You can leave the contract anytime.
Agreed. Contract to hire is low pressure. Just need to show up and exist, all the credit (and blame) goes to the full time employees. If there is an opportunity for you to contribute value then you have a chance of converting if you can execute on it. That’s my experience YMMV.
