I work in an industry that is recession proof (my company does groceries) but I have been getting tempered by recruiters at AWS, NVIDIA or Apple to interview. The salaries are higher, prestige is bigger and the jobs more interesting, but I simply don't trust the economy. Thoughts? TC before everyone starts yelling: $150k
I love HEB!! A happy customer here!
Bloomberg is prob the most recession proof tbh
Genuinely curious.. why and how?
Ok Bloomberg
You think Microsoft Amazon Google are not gonna survive a recession?
They probs gonna have to lay off some people. It's gonna be the new ones
You lay off bottom performers or business units, not new hires. Anyone hiring right now is doing so for critical roles.
HEB is the bomb.com please don’t leave!
Eh? Why not
You in San Antonio? To answer your question, I would jump. You’re gonna be fine. If I were you, come to AWS. It’s mission critical.
YOE?

Thanks everyone who voted for biden
I feel like you’re saying that tech companies are more recession dependent than groceries as an excuse for not trying. There’s nothing that makes cloud services more recession effected than a low margin business like groceries.
The only safe place is making yourself recession proof by Leetcode like 300
I’d wait
