I have been contacted by AWS the most, then the Booz Allen. TC both for SDE is somewhere around $200k, AWS is probably $240k. It is better than my current government salary but I really haven’t worked for the private sector much. Reading from some posts here, even within AWS, which team to work for makes a huge difference. Any recommendations as to who to work for would be appreciated! #Amazon #virginamerica #dc #microsoft #google #faang
Don’t go to Booz, all my friends hated it there.
There is a small pocket within CACI that has killer retirement benefits, 25% of annual salary up to $56k. Pay is decent and benefits are standard for industry, but if you value retirement savings, you won’t find a better place. If interested, search the open positions with keyword 25%.
That means they match up to 25%?
No. Just give 25% into a retirement account. They do offer a 401k that you can invest into if you want to but they won’t match. Honestly, with the putting 25% it’s better to invest your money outside 401k. If you want more information, feel free to DM me.

What is your YoE? Unless you’re really experienced, or have a special skill set (maybe clearance?) I am skeptical of 200k from BAH. But if that’s the case, then that sounds like a good gig to me. I worked at Booz and Leidos a while ago before moving to west coast and wlb appeared to be great. Either way, I definitely think if you want growth (both career and TC) you should leave your gov job. AWS would probably be the best for growth, but I’m sure you hear the pip stories. If you’re still looking then maybe consider Pivotal, Palantir, or some of the startups in the area.
