Help me in deciding UK or US
Startup is looking for a new analytics platform to implement. $ isn't an issue. Do any PMs out there have any great recommendations? We're b2c mobile app. Basically every front end step a user has to take to get to the core of our app. Very high level atm. Thanks :)
If $ isn't an issue check out Looker. If the people asking question can all write/learn SQL, I'd look at a redshift backend + periscopedata frontend
Depends on the analytics you want to do.
Qlik(view)
I think they are looking for data collection, not visualization at this point.
Whatever you choose to do I recommend you "enhance" your logs as much as possible and capture every piece of raw data you can. You will learn all kinds of unique insights as you explore the data. Lots of ways to stream events at scale. Depending on scale, a simple asynchronous write to a DB might be sufficient for now. There's a lot of value in being able to run a top query and see what is happening right now. Every major cloud DB can handle a couple billion rows without breaking a sweat (some a lot more) so hot pathing your data there and cold pathing to a big data store is viable for non-mega properties. Think analytics in depth - use the OOB solution but also capture the raw data and use for custom and what if and exploration.
Amplitude is amazing.
If money is nonissue, use Segment.
Segment is nice to use in order to pipe data into a tool like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. And I love the concept of doing it server-side, but I have no experience using this tool on a mobile app, so I can't comment on that.
Wave analytics from salesforce
Definitely a fan of Looker. Easy to set up, customizable, customer service is top notch.
What kind of analytics are you trying to capture ?
If It's a web app go with Adobe Analytics with demandbase and google analytics being the 2nd. If it's a mobile app, all I know is firebase, their may be more out the in the market. If you need more Indepth multi platform and multiple applications and multiple sources add a layer of datwarehouse like Talend or informatica or what not Add jasper reports if you want to automate reports distribution, more like cherry on top of a cake
