I’m looking to get interviews just to record and post it on YouTube. Not even looking to get hired unless it’s an amazing offer. Is this legal to do? SWE interviews btw. Also might just throw the sessions if I feel like it (for the views). E.g. saying stuff like “I don’t know how to solve this sodoku board can you give me another question” … and just seeing how far I can take it
Usually you sign some paper that says you can't record
100 percent illegal
No, most places you sign an NDA before the interview. Meaning you can’t disclose the conversations or content.
This is obviously illegal. First because you need to disclose you are recording and ask if the other person agrees with that. Second, I believe you need to sign a NDA before interviewing.
Recording anyone without permission is illegal in many states without consent of all parties.
Dude you can't be that dumb!
I think the OP is from India. There's no NDA signing in India before interviews

Lolol Ppl here are funny Dude, this is a great idea on paper but I feel like it will prob ruin your own reputation in the industry Like employers might blacklist you for this... But you should prob consult an actual attorney about legality I think it might be frowned upon, (like taking a voice recorder into an on-site interview)
So you are interviewing just to waste people's time?
I mean, if you put it like that, yes. To be fair though, they waste our time by asking to write optimal code to solve a sudoku board.
Well, another way to put it is, small sacrifice for greater good. 🤷♂️
