If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
In phone call before signing offer, recruiter said that their company offers [redacted for anonymity] as a benefit. But after signing, and finding out that that benefit doesn't actually exist, recruiter will not admit in email conversation that they claimed such in phone call. I'm not sure it will get me very far to argue with my recruiter. Should I just suck it up and move on? I suppose it wouldn't have affected my decision to accept the offer; it's just frustrating. Or, should I talk to HR once inside and try to get that benefit?
Always record all phone calls.
Recordings do not hold value in Cali
Doesn't matter You can either be 1. In a different state that isn't 2 party 2. You don't need permission to record it, you just have to notify the other party that they're being recorded if you are in it. Op didn't state they were in cali Not that this would change the companys mind, but everything should always be recorded or documented on paper.
Unless its in writing its just one word over another so not much you can do other than suck it up and move on and never trust that recruiter again
Recruiters are paid to lie, low-ball and bait & switch.
Please post a job description for a recruiter role where that is in it
Lol. Does a scammer say I'm here to scam you.ππ
Even if it's written down, mistakes can happen. I had a guy promise me Pat leave was 4mos at my previous job, but once I started it was actually 3mos. What remedy could I possibly seek? It's done.
If it's written down you can force their hand
You can sue, but you burn any possible promotions or bonus with that company
That will be retaliation
Hard to prove retaliation on the basis of no promotion
If it's not in writing it never happened. Learn it now
True
If it has affected the trust. Use the offer letter to negotiate with another company.
Or maybe Op has auditory hallucinations and recruiter never told it?
You should talk to HR before you start.
Current TC & YOE?
Suck it up and move on.
