Hello friends, I had a 2 hour video interview with Wells Fargo on Thursday. It went well. The recruiter called me yesterday, and informed me that the team finished interviewing all candidates and they want to know my comp expectations in order to make a decision. They need a range from me by Monday. During my initial screen with the recruiter, she told me the range for the role is 145-155k, level is senior associate, and would require relocation to San Francisco. The role is 70% data analytics and 30% PM. The team focuses on operational excellence transformation. I have 12 YOE, live in Nyc, and 155k seems like a low ball number, especially for financial services. Thoughts please? Edit: I should mention I'm currently unemployed. Was previously at jpmorgan. My whole team was eliminated. #data #datascience #dataanalytics #finance #offer #wellsfargo
I highly doubt there are stock options
I agree - I didnt get any stock options at Jpmc. That being said, do you have any thoughts on what I should ask for in terms of base?
Banking TCs are not comparable to tech. 155 seems standard for wells fargo at this level. I think citi is similar. Jpmc and GS would be better
Low ball for sure you 350k or walk.
The recruiter offered 150k base and when I countered she withdrew my application. Really terrible experience overall with WF recruitment. Do not recommend
What did you counter with
I guess that’s the standard base at Wells Fargo
No idea without job family
Engineering was the job family
That seems way low for 12yoe
what title is the role? that seems like an associate for wf? i think their base was around 120k for associates there. The bonus is really lob dependent, so if you can provide more flavor to the details i can help.
CIB and Senior associate. I'm no longer in consideration for the role. They offered 150k and I pushed back (respectfully and with explanation, of course) and the recruiter immediately withdrew my application.
wow, F them! I am sorry for that, i hope that you can get something better dm i could help
There’s definitely room to grow that number
Ppl won’t get stocks unless you are director role I guess in big finance companies.
Some SVPs get stock here
Since you are currently unemployed take the role155k and request WFH. But keep looking for a better opportunity.
For Sr. Associate, that’s a good number. I am saying that from a position where I hire Associates at our small company. If others are saying it low ball, maybe they are comparing it with Tech comp. they may not know that Sr Associate is a different type of role than tech.
I agree. Thier really was only minimal wiggle room unless thier was a job code with vp or director corporate title attached to it.
155k base? No bonus,esop,rsu?
155 base, 20% bonus. RSUs + Employee stock not discussed as yet.
Is bonus based on performance? Didn’t think Wells gave RSU
