Recruiters in Bay Area: Do people lie about their TC on Blind?
Junior enggineer here with starting numbers.We see a lot of engineers posting numbers like 300+ as TC . In your experience , how often is this fake?? TC 128 + 12. San Jose.

I mean its public knowledge thst execs get paid 1-20M depending on the company. So yes 300TC is possible. Possible and "common with my skillset" are not the same though

There are several companies that pay this TC to senior engineers. If someone is a senior engineer from FAANG or a unicorn, they are probably not lying.
I don't think anyone knows how often people lie but most numbers I see are possible. TC: 152 SDE1
That's a more realistic TC. But when someone says 1.5 YoE 230k TC, it raises some eyebrows
At wayfair yes it’s nearly impossible. But in Bay Area FANG, it’s very often.
