Some recruiting agencies are vultures. I had a guy come in at $35 hourly initially for Capitol One Project Manager told him to F off, jumped to $50 then got to $65. I hate that these tech agencies use recruiting agencies. I have encountered some great recruiting agencies that were basically like I’m gonna get you the highest rate.
This is really abuse of labor! I think Tech companies should at least have the courtesy to announce how much the recruiting agency is charging them. The status quo is the abuse of the labor working for these companies.
How much the recruiting agency is charging your company ?
Too many middle vendors in this process (start from the client manager /director to middle vendors).
Hiring companies usually sell the employee one level higher to main company and hire the employee at a lower level to make more profit.
I worked in my very first job, in Canada, I was being paid 50 bucks an hour, and the final company was charged 250 an hour! To this day, it makes me mad to think about it
What if it’s a full time position? Do they still make the cut in perpetuity?
Just don’t use them. No reason they should exist in this age

All recruiting companies are shit. They provide very little, but want their cut in perpetuity. If a contractor the best idea is to cut out the middle man, unless you like getting bent over. Also remember the agency considers your cattle and they really work for who pays them
