How’s Reddit culture and pay? Reddit was out of consideration until few years ago but now they have started hiring aggressively and product seems to have improvement too. Plus, they might go public in 2-3 years. The only concern I have is Reddit doesn’t have diversity. I like to work in an environment where I can see people of all kind.
What is the diversity concern in details?
Means workplace which has mix of people and isn’t dominated by one group. Same goes other way too. Like I don’t like Amazon because it is not diverse. Same with Tik Tok it is not diverse either
Which group is dominant at Reddit? Curious to know in case I join.
Believe they filed in December to go public this month but the blood bath in the markets would have delayed it. Curious where are you getting the diversity numbers from?
You ask about culture and pay because you don't know Reddit. Fair enough. Seems like you know nothing about Reddit. And that's fine. That's why we post here. Yet, you have already come to the conclusion that they are not diverse. Despite the fact that you know nothing about the company. Making wild assumptions about something you're not knowledgeable about. Sounds like a perfect person for reddit
I know about Reddit and have researched about it and seen people who work there. But I don’t see POC there. Seems like discriminating in hiring in the name of cultural fit?
One cannot know about work culture and pay unless you work for it. This news can be given by internal folk only. But whether a company is diverse or not can be seen through LinkedIn easily
I think they are going public this year. Market is not friendly for high growth however. I had decent experience during my interviews. People were pleasant, interview wasnt too challenging, 1 coding round LC medium. Which team are you interviewing for?
Good to hear
We are pretty diverse actually but I'm not sure what diversity means to you. Can you provide more info? Pay is not that great in general you need to believe that the stock will go up and that seems more uncertain every day (due to market conditions). WLB is really good, people are chill and friendly.
OP is right, unfortunately it's not easy being a URM here :/
Not true in my experience
Ask this on Reddit
We don’t have lot of redditers here
