Add a simple comment box below each listing. Bonus if you can add thread functionality. This can easily help buyers point out flaws / discuss concerns and atleast ease the buying process if not drive down house prices. Feature 2 - allow table view of listings after filtering and export to excel Feature 3 - after “favorite”ing a listing, allow user to add annotations to it. Zillow allows quick choice of few tags, but not anything more. #housing #realestate #seattle #redfin #zillow
How will it improve business?? Infact result in decrease in the number of listings
Less time for consumers to spend looking for something, more time to decide on a house instead of being overwhelm by houses they do not want to look at? I’m just guessing as a Zillow user. But program managers might disagree.
^^ How comments will help?
Not sure what the value add is here, and imagine the lawsuits...
You can make your own app for this.
Exactly, it doesn’t have to be hosted by Zillow/Redfin
Public comments never going to happen. This is just can of worms. Private comments on Redfin already exist.
If someone makes this as a separate platform, let’s call in Bluefin, y’all Will probably try to shut it down right?
Nope. Neither Redfin nor Zillow has interest in it. It just about liabilities and it is not in owners interest, because every real estate has flaws.
Worst idea ever!
Absolutely not lol, this is moronic. You want people shit posting on listings?? Why don't we add annotations to splunk while we're at it? "I don't like this data volume alert"
Both redfin and Zillow have home tour highlights which come from agents. Making this open to public will be a PR nightmare as others have pointed out.
Iirc redfin used to have neutral/critical comments from agents, and even that was too much, they got pushback from MLS. So doubt random comments would fly
Easy, here you go todahome.com

Imagine what kinda comment will be posted on overpriced Seattle moss pit listing. If it doesn’t drive sales it won’t matter to them.
