Referral request for senior engineer positions

Hello everybody. I am looking for roles in the Bay Area (or remote) that would be an improvement on my current TC. My current title is “staff software engineer” and I will be targeting similar seniority, but even eating a down level would probably be a decent TC improvement for me depending on the company. I’ve worked mostly on scaling distributed systems in the past. I’m open to most roles for which I’d be qualified for, although I’d prefer to not work on a CRUD SaaS app anymore. I have friends at apple, meta and google who I’ll leverage for a referral but every other company is fair game.
