Hey everyone, I’m looking for referrals to Disney (Studios, Marvel Ent. or Studios), WarnerMedia, or a similar entertainment company for marketing roles. I currently freelance as a digital marketer (2+ YOE) after an 8 year career in retail (old TC: 200k). I was pleased with my accomplishments in retail, but I realized that the aspect of my work I found most rewarding was collaborating with entertainment brands on in-store marketing events. I took a ton of certifications and leveraged my education and prior marketing internship at Warner Music Group to land clients. Highlights: • Designed a marketing campaign for one of the world’s most popular collectible apps that increased users by 21% and subscriptions by 90% • Created marketing plans, presentation decks, and creative assets for some of the largest music artists at Warner Music Group • Developed and pitched content partnerships to eBay and Collectors • Led retail teams as large as 300 people to execute in-store events with Lionsgate, NBC, Goldman Sachs and Random House However, I’ve been connecting with recruiters and hiring managers on LinkedIn, but it’s been tough to land interviews. I already have experience working with comic book apps. Plus, I’m a big nerd, so something related to "geek" culture or collectibles would be awesome. I’m open to NYC or LA.
