Just got a linkedin message for a full time position as a reporting lead at google from a recruiter at cognizant. I dont think Im ready at all for a lead role. if i take it and fail any portion of the interview with cognizant oe google will i be barred from applying for a year? anyone at google is a reporting lead ? how hard was the technical portion ? it says prior sql skill is preferred and 5 years of experience and i at best have like a year or two. i told the recruiter i dont have that much experience and they said to just try and see and I dont want to be my only chance this year
I feel this is FTE position with Cognizant, working for client(Google) as reporting lead.
Do they always end up like that?

Sounds like a contract position. We have internal recruiters at Google for full time positions.
So although the person is recruiting for a full time position through a company hired by google it’s labeled as a contract position at google?
From Google's standpoint it is a contract position. For cognizant it might be a permanent opening. Google did not hire you, Google hired cognizant who's deploying you there. Essentially Google has no direct relationship with you.
