Joined Meta back in June as a new grad and I already rejected 2sig offer awhile back. I was told that career progression and tech stack is better at Meta. Did I make a mistake? š„² Itās hard to put in my best work with the current sentiment. Two Sigma: 300k Meta: 250k (stock dropping so Iām not sure how much it is now)
Please stop overthinking it and focus on how to get better at what you do now, no choice is future proof
From where you are now? Yes, but you canāt go back in time so try to make the best of it.
I think it doesnāt matter much. Since you already chose the company, let think that the career progression totally depends on you
How is the progression at 2S? I hear it is slower than tech. Is that true?
I donāt know yet, just joined recently
Thanks for the advice! On a positive note, i also rejected coinbase so at least i have a job now
Dang meta offer 250 for new grad hire? Congrats! I donāt think you made a mistake in long term
They have different ties depending on your interview. Most of it is signon though, which is cut by half by CA taxes lol
Conflating signon with tc is lame. Just say 200k+100k sign on
Noise level in the long run
No
How did you get 250k at Meta as a new grad?
I bet being at Meta for their 'high intensity' work moment at the beginning of your career will actually be very valuable.
