How do folks prefer to be rejected? I like email if I’m not going to get more feedback or a strong recommendation to reapply later? So far DAtabricks ghosted Airbnb, SNAP email no reply to my questions Anyone know if Roblox, or Meta will do calls or email? Tc 350
Email - don’t make me waste more time by listening to your spiel or small talk
Uber: daffaq? Why would you assume that email was to discuss a rejection?
I went through the Twitter loop a couple of years ago. The recruiter just called me a week later out of no where while I was driving. Like no scheduling or anything. She just called on Friday evening at around 4:45. She spoke for 15 mins about how everybody loved my coding solutions and my system design and ML design. And then suddenly she said, we are not going to give you an offer. I got confused. You just appreciated me for so long, did you slip in that “not” word by mistake? I was like okay followed by a pause… expecting she will say why they did not give me the offer. There was a pause on her side as well. I started asking “why did I not get the offer”… she spoke over me and said, it was great working with you. We have no cool-off period. Just reapply to some other position and just hung up 🤣🤣🤣. Connecting the dots (calling on a Friday evening, appreciating for so long, rejecting and then hanging up) I felt like she wanted to have some weekend fun. I have been rejected after job interviews like tens of times. But this one was savage.
I got a phone call and recruiter told me to reapply after few months in big Tech? Is big tech doing that to everyone or it is a strong recommendation for reapply like OP said? I thought I got offer when I received phone call so to reduce heart broken, I would want email.
I would rather have someone say “TC or GTFO”
I don't often get rejected but when I do it's over email. Stay thirsty my friends
Calls for our recruiters, but it's a not small company now and can't speak for all of them
I prefer being ghosted. Life’s too short to waste on meaningless interactions. If you have an offer, let me know. It not, don’t even bother. First dates work the same exact way btw
