What companies are currently looking for remote sales people?
AWS
Which teams?
I'm not aware of any AM or SA positions where full-time remote *isn't* an option. They usually have a location in the posting, but that's more for identifying a general geographic area
Gitlab is one of the company where everyone is 100% remote. No idea if they're looking for sales ppl though.
Their comp sucks
It sucks in the sense that they pay local rates. You can check it: https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/people-group/global-compensation/calculator/
I would start with companies do television repair. They probably have a lot of people phoning in for replacement remotes.
DuckDuckGo
AWS, Azure and GCP for sure. Possibly SAP, Salesforce etc as well
GCP at least is apparently not remote friendly. The recruiters that have reached out to me say that relocation is required.
How easy is it for a non-remote SDE in aws to start working remote in aws. I'm guessing a team switch is usually needed?
FedEx Sales
AWS and GCP really don't offer remote jobs. Especially GCP. AWS does have territory AE/AM jobs, all other sales roles have to sit in cubes in Seattle. Salesforce also mostly inside reps aside from some field AE. But pretty much all serious SW HW companies have territory AE or remote capable roles. Do your own homework.
