I was thinking to save some bucks and get a renewed iPhone from Amazon instead of paying full price. Anyone tried that before? Am I compromising a lot? Does it worth saving $200 on a $1k phone? I rarely get a new phone, maybe once in like 7~8 years and current one needs to be replaced asap. TC 250
I bought a lot of refurbished stuff vs new on Amazon. Overall, good quality, maybe a small scruff occasionally. I wouldn't worry about it. Make sure you distinguish the difference between refurbished and used. Refurbished typically replaces the battery, whereas used doesn't
My exp with getting renewed, certified products from amazon has been good. You can return it if youndont like the performance
Buy apple refurb from Apple online store. Find a friend to get 15% off the refurb price. Amazon can’t be trusted, I will buy a from them in the past but only new, nothing in used electronics category anymore. They do random stuff with even some new items, selling back returned and opened items (not macs necessarily). Apple refurb process pretty much guarantees you get a brand new battery, and your mac comes with 1 year warranty same as does for a new mac. It’s a no brainer to save some bucks
The prob is the battery. It will die sooner and you will need to go back to apple for a replacement. The. There’s warranty. The 200 savings isn’t worth it unless you’re getting an older model and really saving vs a brand new model
