High performers, how often do you have slack off days?
Does anybody have good resources or examples for this kinda situation? It seems like almost every single resource I find is aimed towards new grads, or very senior engineers. I've got a resume put together and sent it to some people I know at FAANG, and they liked it, but they aren't recruiters and for that reason recommended that I come to Blind for advice. Will min/maxing my resume even help all that much at the end of the day...? Any advice is appreciated #swe #faang
Honestly name of your current company and its reputation is that matters and how you portray your LinkedIn profile is all that matters
Don't worry too much about resume. Just explain your work properly. I kept everything the same from my new grad resume. Just some tweaks
I don't know if my current company is all that impressive in any way lol, but I'll do my best to just frame the work I'm doing in a positive light
You should give the highest priority to the work experience you got during your 2 years in the industry. Make sure you list out relevant tech stacks you've worked on. For writing down your work ex, you can follow a simple format. Write about what you did and which tech stack you used to achieve that. For example, "Enhanced the order management system by adding a spark streaming job to detect fraudulent orders in realtime"
Just send it to recruiters?
Gotcha, so just kinda go into it blind and flailing. Thanks 👍
