Resume and LinkedIn writing
Have you guys used any services for resume and LinkedIn optimization? I’m thinking about hiring someone professionally to look at both for me. But not sure where to start. What is a good range in terms of cost? I seen some that is really expensive ($900) and some cheaper ones on Upwork ($100). TC: 0 I was laid off. Thank you! #layoff P.S: I have put in time to edit rewrite my resume but want to try something different to see if it will make a difference. Please don’t say ChatGPT.

I have. Fiverr had some decent material for over $300 (I used two very highly rated freelancers), and that helped me get bullet points optimized for my role along with templates I could use to market myself. While the pieces seemed to work okay by highlighting impact, I wasn’t a fan as I felt it didn’t describe “me”. It was too corporate for lack of better words, and there was too much emphasis on screen reader technology in regards of formatting… But it was a start. Then, I signed up for LinkedIn premium, searched for people who held positions that I was targeting from well known companies, and saw some of them have their resumes posted in their profile. They’re legit. I downloaded the ones I loved and made notes of what I was inspired by. I eventually abandoned Fiverr’s bullet points. Tailored my resume and LinkedIn inspired by what I admired most about others, and felt proud to submitted my resume to companies. Phone calls came in and I landed several offers. My resume has been a special part of my persona since then. IMO, I would not completely lean on services. Iterate as you continue to see inspiration. “Good artists copy, great artists steal.” Good luck!
None are worth it tbh. They will fleece you for 100’s and give you a pretty shitty LinkedIn / resume. If you can’t write that, then you need to reflect on yourself. Maybe that’s a contributing factor to unemployment
