Does Meta still have that resume builder value as a FAANG like what it once used to have? Is it still worth making the move to?
Of Course, how the hell faang has to do with anything. I think the OP is one of those kids who is completely paranoid about this acronym. What do you think of stripe, coinbase, salesforce, etc. they are fantastic companies which are not faang. Also TC or GTFO.
Yes
I mean, it cant hurt
Lol of course. Regardless of their public perception and market cap they have some of the most talented engineers on the planet
People can’t be this dumb. Meta still has top tier engineering and career wise there are few more well known established brands that can help for a SWE resume
I don’t think you gain that much coming from Amazon though
Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple are all good on your resume. Don’t believe anybody who says otherwise.

What do you think and why? Meta was never a trillion dollar company so what has changed??
Meta was absolutely a trillion dollar company, and that has no effect anyways. It’s a high visibility company, getting past the interviews is a datapoint for other companies that you’re not incompetent. That’s enough to at least get you an interview at most places
3 apps with over 2bn MAU; LinkedIn is a great app, but LinkedIn will literally never break 1bn mau with a 40% retention rate. There aren't many companies where you work at this level of scale... As a ds, I have the opportunity to run experiments larger than your MAU base. I'm not just bming LinkedIn for the sake of it, just pointing out that that's usually what people point to when putting weight on resumes, I've worked on an app helping make decisions that affect the population of continents.
