Engineer-II Base: 105k Relocation: 22k (Midwest to Texas) Bonus: 12% Target Also, please help me understand 12% target bonus, does it mean it is variable pay based on performance? Can I negotiate for more? or Is it fair offer? Current TC: 78k YOE: 3 (Electronics Assembly) #SAS #sas #samsungelectronics #Samsungaustinsemiconductor #semiconductor #sas

12% "target" means you'll never actually get it. I might be wrong though as fabs have been killing it last couple years. Offer is alright, they won't budge much from where they are

This is incorrect. It is 6% company performance and 6% employee performance. You're mostly guaranteed to get full bonus unless your performance is shit. If anything you're far more likely to get over 12%.

What’s your current living expenses such as mortgage cost and property tax %. That’s gonna be potentially your biggest change here as home prices start at 500k (2000$)/month then prop taxes around 2-3% which lands you between 500-900$ a month depending on home value. That diff might be 5K diff or 20k diff making the opportunity a win or bust. General cost of living is up here. F’in kids meals 8$ anywhere you go. It’s not bay prices by any means but your income needs to reflect the lifestyle you want here. Trust me, I live in Huto 10 mins west of Taylor.

I currently rent an apartment and my current cost of living is very low as my work location is almost country side. My current monthly expenses are around $1k per month including rent and utilities.

What would be the fair compensation?

It’s fair. Try to get base to 110k. What is education? They give additional for masters and above
