Checked Glassdoor and realized that I am underpaid from the average. This wasn't the case 3 months ago and it seems like the average salary for my position has inflated by 20-30k. Has anyone talked to their manager/hr to readjust their salary based on Glassdoor/PayScale data? If so, what did that conversation look like?
Definitely don't do what bpiS06 suggested. No place trusts an employee if they have to make a counter offer. I've talked to my manager and got a moderate raise (15k) out of the normal cycle because I was 25k under market value. Just talk to your boss about it, if they care and want to keep you around, they'll make it happen.
I think It depends on the company you work for, and the job market. I know that my employer (large aerospace company), won't match outside offers. Then again, salary websites are extremely accurate for what we do.
Compensation also depends on company size. I've never heard of TaskUs. Maybe they can't afford market rate?
I don't think it works this way. Get an offer from another company and ask for match or walk
It could. Happened to me. Told my manager i was underpaid (after checking glassdoor....although i didnt tell my manager this), and he came back with a onetime bump.
