Hi Blind community! Looking for feedback on my resume. Hoping to break in to FAANG or other companies like LinkedIn / Lyft / Splunk / OpenAI / NVIDIA / Pinterest / Reddit / Waymo or Cruise. I was in a 2-year APM program with 6 month rotations each, which isn't a ton of time to launch stuff or contribute to meaningful metrics but I tried to put something down. I desperately do NOT want to work in payments or fraud anymore. Hoping to work on something more consumer-facing. Looking for referrals (especially to Meta, Microsoft, LinkedIn) and happy to refer people to Visa if you want to join this shithole. TC: 150k Base: 117k #resumereview #resume
I’d remove your coursework. You gotta reframe your bullets to what impact you helped drive. Your first line - managing a ml model means not a lot. Was it good? Did it improve some core metric or customer benefit? I don’t like saying ‘built’ or ‘leading product development’. You’re a pm, you don’t build or lead development. Focus on what your contribution was. Did you come up with the idea, frame the problem, get exec leadership buy in, help fund new headcount. If you frame in terms of what you actually contributed I think it comes across more believable
hey thanks for your advice!! Appreciate it
Your resume is a form of product marketing. You are the product. How is this resume showing PMF for what you want to do vs the competition?
Got rid of skills and coursework. No one cares. If a skill is important to you, mention it in your experience.
DM for SAP and anyone else for a referral!
Show results more. Time saved, money saved, efficiency improved, etc. Also, it's 2024 - get rid of Office as a skill.
thank you!!
