Robinhood right platform to invest in shares?

Is robinhood right platfom to invest in shares. I heard they have isrurance of $500,000. Does these insurances really matters and I can trust on that? or shall i go with some renowned like morgan stanley. looking to invest around 50k.

Dude use a real brokerage like TD Ameritrade. The charting software Think or Swim is excellent.

What kind of insurance are you talking about? Idk if they even have FDIC. I would do more research. But use an actual brokerage.

Fidelity or vanguard. They both allow free stocks trading now.

I use Robinhood and I like it. If we were talking millions, I’d recommend elsewhere. But with 50k, you’re fine.

Lmao, I can’t argue that. This is the first time I’ve had a complaint about RH, I’ll say that. But it’s got me thinking...

I would recommend Interactive Brokers. Lowest fee with reliable platform. Robinhood is laggy on placing/update/cancel orders. TD Ameritrade's trading platform is also amazing. (Especially on charting and historical data replay) I've also used Fidelity and Charles Schwab. If you love their ETFs/mutual funds and their debit cards(no fee on all ATMs around the world). However, their system is not very reliable. I mean their downtime. IB is way better.

50k is not too much. Should be fine.

Does robinhood do fractional shares yet? I think that’s one of their cooler things

Yes, but there’s a waitlist.
