What are the tradeoffs of one vs the other now that the commission free trading US offered by both?
I find Robinhood much easier to use. Schwab UI is terrible. Mobile app wise anyway.
Agree. Data presentation in Schwab is awful. They obviously have all the data but one needs to scroll/click more.
How hard is it to show gain/loss graphics. If I deposit any money my graph shows it as real gain. And when you sell stock it still shows in your position tab for a while. Sometimes simple is better
Do Schwab, they have free trading too now. also, their investor checking account is really good for travel. No atm fee, no international fee, and no currency conversion fee.
Neither. E-Trade is better if you do some options/strategies.
Do they have some api for automatic trading?
Robinhood had unlimited margins
What? No they don’t
I use Schwab for stock trading since it's mostly buy and hold. For options Robinhood due to clean UI and 0 option fee. Schwab and most other brokerages charge fee for options
+1 for Robinhood UI.
Schwab, better customer service and breadth of services.
Robinhood
Robinhood is buggy and unstable. Had multiple times lost money because it took too long to load or submit a sell/order
They have minimal QA. Any other finance company would be shocked.
