Rotational Software Engineer @ FB

Does anyone know how this program works? What exactly is the bootcamp and how does the interview process for that go? I heard the initial interview is exactly the same for all roles, and that further interviews go more in-depth for specific teams.

I think it is only for URM candidates?

No it's not, it was stated explicitly on the thread by the poster that it was for all candidates and backgrounds.

It's also for people with non-traditional backgrounds. I have an interview scheduled and I'm curious as to what qualifies you for the bootcamp and what general expectations are.

H-1B qualify?

All I was asked was if I was authorized to work in the United States.

I'm a rotational software engineer. check out the reng group. lots of info there. The interview and boot camp is the exact same as normal swe, there are only a few minor differences. They are more lenient during the resume screen, especially if you have cross industry xp. they are willing to overlook one negative interview, especially if it's system design. no equity for the duration of the program. during boot camp, you choose from a limited group of teams that expressed preinterest in a rotational eng candidate. you get two 6 month rotations to convince a manager to hire you on as E4 or higher. if you don't do that, you're out the door. feel free to ping me for other questions

That's really good to hear, I might apply. :). I'm an SDE now but only have a year of experience in this role, but four years of support experience before that.
