Round 1 layoffs at Alexa over?
Is the first round of layoffs in Amazon, Alexa org over? I have an offer starting in end Jan, no news of it being impacted yet. TC 190k 2 yoe
There’s more to come. They are going to have layoffs until Jan at minimum as per some of the emails sent. They have nowhere laid off near to 10K people. Its only 2-4K at max so far
Which team? Do you know how that org fared in the current layoffs? If there are layoffs after you join, you are going to be an easy target.
Check with recruiter to see if your role will be cancelled. This may happen
It’s likely impacted I would not accept that and say where you are. You will start and be let go or they will retract it
I’m not sure they’ll do another round in Alexa tbh. It’s dumb to do multiple layoffs in span of months! Unless they don’t care about productivity and morale
