SADFANGLUST companies with SWE forced attrition

We all know that Amazon has a forced attrition policy of cutting the bottom 6% of engineers, and that one of them attempted suicide recently. Which of the following companies have a similar policy of terminating a certain percentage of engineers in cycles, or once someone has been at a certain level X months without a promotion? - Square - Apple - Dropbox - Facebook - Airbnb - Netflix - Google - Lyft - Uber - Stripe - Twitter I'm assuming LinkedIn and Microsoft don't currently do this, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

What is "good attrition?" If a certain percentage is always cut, then everyone will try their best but some will still be cut. Meanwhile, a toxic environment is created in which people rampantly throw each other under the bus, and work crazy hours under constant stress

If you’re fighting to stay out of the bottom 6% every year, you’re in the wrong profession.

I used to work for Goldman Sachs and they cut 15% workforce every year. They shamelessly used age as a criteria to cut people. Another criteria was that introverts who don’t build a sexy image at workplace were also cut. I guess in our industry we just have to learn to live with this fact. Leetcode everyday.
