SAP Offer Evaluation
I’ve an offer for Marketing Analytics role in SAP and the benefits are obviously better than eBay (in terms of PTOs mostly) but honestly I’m at the fence on accepting the offer because, 1. I feel SAP is slow paced and working for a slow paced company I might not be able to switch to FAANG or other fast paced tech companies. Further reducing the chances of getting interviews from good tech companies when I want to switch! 2. Another reason is - I feel SAP is old school in terms of tech! 3. The role is 100% remote. My manager at eBay is an ass and absolutely hates me. So, I’ve very high chances of getting sacked from eBay soon hence looking for new roles. I’ve been on job hunt since last 1 month 10 days and was able to land two offers - TikTok and SAP. TikTok didn’t work out due to location constraints! SAP TC: 150K 🥜 (15% lesser than my pay at eBay) Is rejecting the SAP offer a good idea in this market condition? Also, I’m based in Bay Area Please don’t say stay at eBay because that’s not an option! Thanks much
eBay needs a union to keep all these toxic managers in check. Union you can require eBay to have a better way to hold managers accountable, certainly ask for better pto their pto is literal shit and unlimited sick leave. They absolutely undeniably need visibility into the performance and promotion process! If you or a group start forming a union if you are protected from being fired and you'll be working to improve your work conditions.
Just because people like you are not educated in the laws nor have the courage to do what Americans stood up to do in the past..sure mock my post, stay a sheep to toxic managers who hide behind being gerks because they're actually unintelligent and lazy. Also OP managers and supervisors love to dissuade others from unionization because they don't get to join or be a part of the union, historically they get held accountable after unions are formed so they Hate them! I'd be happy to start the union and you can sign the petition. If i get 30% of employees in the us to sign the government acknowledges your unionization and ebay has to start negotiating demands or the government steps in. So badhi_ho go ahead keep laughing and mocking. Im American and am not afraid to stand up.
I've worked at 2 FAANGs. SAP doesn't feel particularly slow paced to me. YMMV depending on team. In any event FAANG will interview virtually anyone so you don't need to worry about that.
