SAP technical interview

I’m interviewing with SAP Canada for a software developer position that requires 2-3 years of experience so I assume it’s an intermediate one not a senior or junior. What should I expect in the first technical interview (90 min)? Is it LC only or I’ll be asked for system design, too? #interview #swe

Why don't you clarify all of this with the recruiter?

There’s no recruiter. I got the interview via referral and the person who set up the call for me is out on vacation

There is no LC or System design Qs in SAP, unless interviewer himself is planning to switch!! 🤣

😂😂😂😂😂 that's how you encourage

It's all team specific, so nobody here can answer. Expect to write some code at some point.

It will be lc easy. Traversal of a binary tree, if you are managed to do it, level order traversal of binary tree. At least if you are interviewing in any SAC team question will be this difficulty

Thanks. So no system design, right? 90 min multiple LC questions? By the way, what is SAC? Is it a typo? Did you mean SAP?

SAP yMsA81 Jul 3, 2022

SAC = SAP Analytics Cloud, a product which has a big dev team in Van. As others mentioned everything is team specific, for example I’ve usually only seen 60 min interviews.

Nope I'm in Canada already

There is no standard way to interview in SAP Canada. This interview would likely ask you some fundaments CS questions, programming language questions, and may be a coding test. Very few team ask system design at entry level positions. With 2-3 years experience you would not be interviewing for a grade higher than T2. Hope this helps….

Thanks. The position I've applied for is apparently T2 then. Is there something I can do during the interview to impress the interviewer to consider me for T3? If not, how long does it take to promote to T3?

SAP APPAP Jul 5, 2022

Yes it most likely is T2. If the headcount is for T2 it then they might adjust you somewhere between T2-1 to T2-3 but most likely not to T3. If I remember correctly , you need to have at least 5 years exp for T3. Each grade has 3 sub grades so it would take a while to go from let’s say T2-1 to T3-1.
