With an oncoming recession, wouldn't it be in the best interest of everyone if those of us in the tech industry hardened the eff up and go full throttle 996? When layoffs hit, people will automatically come back to work. The market balances itself out....If lot of coasters exist, the company stock will eventually go down. Good leaderd like google warn employees beforehand. If the warning isnt noticed, rhey may have to bear the consequences Also i know one guy who works 996 is much less productive than another guy who works half is time. And another guy who works only 4 hours a week and has 0 productive value. The second guy is the most useful for any company.
It's 100% counterproductive. First of all, you're not even more efficient that way. Second, if you do accomplish short term better results, it's simply an opportunity for other people to be fired as not needed. Or to just coast.
