Are execs doing anything to retain employees and prevent mass exodus? I would 100% leave if my stock was 90% down
When you titled the post retention policies, I thought this was gonna be about how long they store my snaps 🍿
Employees were given a top-off @ $36 a few months ago. There’s speculations on another top off as well
They’re planning layoff. Why retention? Wake up.
Prob for select employees, but they dgaf for the most part
Have you left square that stocks are 75% down or are you waiting for stocks to be down 90%? What’s your grant price?
At grubhub they told us to get fucked yesterday in terms of getting comp adjusents lol. Then told us to start acting like adults and go into the office more.
OP, do you have an offer from Snap?
No, but any company that has a good retention policy moves up in my list of companies to work for. If they are good to you in bad times they’ll usually be good to you as long as they can afford it
lol if you’re interested better interview soon, Snap doesn’t have many openings right now
Part of the reason companies are in this spot is because they kept trying to pay more and more for engineers. Eventually they learned that trapping rain water didn’t really help generate revenue

They probably want people to resign. It would lower operating costs while avoiding the need to pay severance and bad press.
Canary in a coal mine. Could be the precedent for what’s gonna go down in a lot of tech 👀
