Why do top level executives keep quitting? Time to short again?

If I had to guess, it's because of attrition. People who quit obviously don't need to be paid a base salary anymore (creating space in the budget) and forfeit their unvested RSUs, that can just be turned over to somebody else.
Who quit now? IIRC many of the execs who “quit” a few years ago were actually fired.
