Safest company. Walmart vs Visa vs Quicken

Expecting offers from all three Walmart/Sam's Club, Visa inc and Quicken loans. Also expecting offer from Amazon but that company PIP culture is too scary. Technically offer is CyberSource which is a Visa company. Which is the safest company out of the three to work at on H1B especially given COVID, travel etc #quicken #walmart #pip #layoff #covid #omnicorn #h1b Current TC: 98K Update : Updated post. Offer is on Cybersource side.

Visa inc is best for wlb and leaves. Only problem is hike

Indeed didx3 Nov 30, 2021

How many hours per week do you work?

As long as job stability is good, I am ok with hike. Thanks

Those voting for Visa, would not Visa be annihilated due to lack of cross border transactions, hotel, travel, airline etc? Would not Sam's Club be safer?

You underestimate just how powerful the Visa network actually is. They say money makes the world go round, and Visa is/has been at the core of it. Yes there is rising competition but they are still deeply entrenched as a global payments intermediary/processor. Also, digital payments are a thing, regardless of state of reopening.

All those who voted for Visa, don't you think their stocks are sinking very badly lately. Should this be a deciding factor?

Walmart RPeA30 Nov 30, 2021

walmart

I thought that too but everyone voting visa. I think walmart had done too many layoffs in past 5 years. Maybe that's why...

Visa okitsme Nov 30, 2021

Visa is very conservative, in everything. So when it comes to wlb, layoffs, Visa is the best. If you are career oriented and want big money, Visa won’t be a good option.

I would say Walmart give that how stable it is and no layoff but wlb might hit or miss

Optum sde_majdur Dec 1, 2021

I heard they had mass layoffs during peak covid.

Capital One NNDd84 Dec 1, 2021

Yeah but they are from product teams who are from Jet.com I think. You can find a lot of info on blind about that
