OP, are you only interested in large corps? What type of companies? Rather, are you purely solving for pay?
50lpa + @ amazon
I would be wary of using amazon as a standard -amazon overpays compared to rest of Indian companies .I applied to tonnes of jobs in India without a single interview call -Let me know if you find anything
Exactly..coz lot of indian companies feel a) you're not serious b) they may not be able to pay u
Pretty much yes -but Recruiters don’t even respond -I can understand now why people are so desperate to live on an H1.Once you have a certain amount of savings I think it’s safe to go to India and work some random ass job
Start your own company in India. You have a PhD. That may be an option. Think about that.
How many years of experience do you have? What is your total package?
2 years of experience in Apple. TC is 163k base, 100k RSUs
Try Flipkart. Join them in US and then transfer to Bangalore. They pay pretty well in US.
Flipkart has a US office?😳
Yes. In the Bay area. They do AI research here.
one of my ex-colleagues went to india to work for a startup. with phd and 6 yrs exp, he got 60 lpa.
Seems realistic. 40-50 lpa is achievable with little fight
You don’t have many opportunities in India. May be they have some product companies based on India but the package may not be as lucrative as here. You have PhD and you can go as head of ML team and get good package.
Can I know rough figures so that I can negotiate?
Please dont speak out of your ass.OP lot of good work starting to happen here. Look at amazon ml teams. My friend joined as a fresh phd at about 40 . Now above 50
