Salary comparison
My salary is being compared with my brother by my brother and mom. He works in a FAANG while I work in Meesho now. My salary is just about 20 LPA with 4 YoE and my brother is 5 years elder to me. My mother has told me that I am earning very less compared to my peers too where they earn 30 LPA and my brother earns 50 LPA base with tc of 1 cr. This is really taking a mental hit on my health as what they want is more money while I am currently happier where I am. What shall I do?
Brother you are still earning so much , stop comparing yourself everyone has their own path. Don’t listen to them, enjoy your life. Money doesn’t but happiness. Be happy and stay mad. Money will come and go.
Bro do you realise that 20 LPA isn’t bad in India ? Enjoy your life and keep preparing for the interviews and switch.

Well if you are comparing, compare with me - I am 11 YOE with TC of 21L but then Indian mothers will ask you to compare up and not down 😁. I have a philosophy about switching jobs - money will be always be the 1 reason to switch, the day you find 2nd reason you should switch.
Definitely yes if I compare the money, but I am prioritising mental health & quality work. (wish I could demonstrate FAANG & other companies all the complex enterprise applications/systems I have developed from scratch but too bad they are stuck on leetcode. And also bombed an Amazon interview really bad recently 😁)
Try switching in a good startup, they won't ask DSA. There are many more companies who don't ask DSA. You can get a great hike at this yoe
