200k is solid
To be comfortable? 250k
4x is the general rule. So 250k
4x of net income or 4x of gross? Because of looking at gross, then the math gets more and more off the higher the salary due to the change in effective tax rate.
4x of gross seems to work at all $$. The lower taxes on the lower end are offset by necessary expenses (gas, food), while the higher end earners are offset by higher taxes.

300k to 350k
This. Though my benchmark is 400k
Too high - 275k is enough assuming you don’t have any other crazy debts to repay (like student loan or super expensive cars)
If you get a good rate which right now seems hard I’d say probably around 10k a month after taxes any north of that is good idk your lifestyle if you cook a lot at home, live frugal or what not. If you have a partner makes it a whole lot easier
10k a month is $150k. No way you buying a $1m house even with a decent interest rate. I have no idea what the 28 people that liked your comment are smoking.
Idk what generous area you're living in where 10k a month after tax is $150k a year before tax. Even in mid tax states, you're looking at 180k to 200k for 120k cash takehome after tax.
