Salary negotiations at a PE backed company

I’m preparing for my compensation negotiations with a PE backed company. Its a Finance Director role but it reports to the CEO (so basically CFO). How are compensation packages put together on the private side? What should I expect or ask for besides base and bonus. Do they typically offer equity? Does anyone have experience in this area?
