Sales org - stay or go?
Almost at 3 years, and I'm happy with my job but there's not a lot of growth or upside if I stay. I have the chance to go to Facebook, Pinterest, or a smaller company. Those in non-SWE roles, what would you do? Pros of staying: good comp, easy commute, great team, decent manager, challenging role, solid work life balance Cons of staying: my stock is basically worthless - I was granted 1500 RSUs total, so staying the extra year means almost nothing. No path forward on my team unless someone quits or they create a role for me. WWYD?
Head to FB. Equity will be similar, pay will be same if not better, still have good work life balance. I guess it just depends on what you value most.
Similar equity in RSU quantity or value? My 1500 Twitter RSUs are trading at $21 now, up from their usual $17 ;)
Value. If it was quantity then you wouldn’t be asking where to go :)
