I’m currently at a competitor but looking at opportunities at Salesforce AU. Wondering what a fair offer would be for enterprise sales role (managing 3-7 accounts). About 10 years experience, 5 as an AE already
DM for Salesforce
How’s Azure doing right now in terms of hiring?
Not sure if most AEs will make quota or even come close this year. You might want to research about how Salesforce market has been slowing down.
Any insight on Slack? Outside looking in, seems like it’s better culture?
Culture might be good but selling it is a pain.
Base of $120k to $150k with OTE $240k -$300k with NO existing book of business. You have to at least offer to build up your entire book from scratch !
What’s the quota? No existing book or pipeline sounds impossible especially for a mature product like Salesforce
Hardly anyone hits the number at Salesforce so you would be making little over base. Best guess depending on your segment is $125k base. They've ratcheted down the compensation cost of sales over the years.
Don’t do it. It’s a constant end of the month car salesman pressure around here. Not at all what it appears to be from the outside. Leadership doesn’t care about their employees either. It’s all a big show.
Damn that’s disappointing, very similar at AWS
A recruiter reached out for a BDR role. Thanks OP for this post lol
In a similar boat but for healthcare and life sciences vertical with SF. Cleared last round and should hear back from recruiter this week. What is the expected TC and breakdown? 6 YOE, managing healthcare clients in previous job. Location is HCOL
How much NBD is involved? avoid situations that involve 40 cold calls and seed emails every day with reports measuring how many appts you're setting. oh, wait we can thank SF for that. 😉
