https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2019/5/30/18645722/salesforce-ban-retail-customers-selling-semi-automatic-guns-rifles Is this a good idea?
It's not about doing right it's about getting affirmative press without significant lashback.
Corporate virtue signaling is counter productive when it’s applied globally like this. This sort of thing only looks good in the Bay Area and other uber-liberal enclaves.
It's already essentially illegal for regular civilians to purchase automatic weapons in the States. This is just bay area virtue signaling. Fuck em.
Uh no it's not. You can absolutely buy semi automatic weapons in the US. Read before you get all riled up over nothing?
The post title was wrong.
So if I buy a semi-automatic rifle with my American Express that runs on Salesforce, is Benioff going to cut off Amex also?
I mean it's more substantial than changing the gun emoji I guess. Whether or not it's effective is another thing.
I think corporate virtue signaling is a bad idea
Deepthroating all the way down much?
Good news for Dynamics
Sure... you needed this...
:-)
Salesforce is still helping Homeland security, border enforcement, and police depts, right? So they have no problem helping violent people with guns in the abstract. They’re just covering their ass. They don’t want the next mass shooting to be linked to them.
Prescription drugs kill far, far more people than automatic rifles. Will they stop working with drug makers too?
Cars also kill people, maybe we should ban people from buying cars if they’ve been involved in an accident
I’m guessing all those servers Salesforce runs on are fucking up the global climate and will kill millions in 12 years.
