My wife is a Sr. Dir (engg) at #salesforce and she has been assigned a fixed number of employees that she has to either assign to some new #layoff quota they are creating or put them on #pip. She has been in complete emotional and mental breakdown since last 2 days as she now has to get rid of people from a given pool. Salesforce has lost all its values and is simply working to tackle the new investors. Not worth working here anymore. Crumbling work culture and sub-par pay. If anyone has been impacted recently by the sudden/unexpected PIPs, this is the main reason. Just keep your head held high and weather this storm.

No actually, performers should not be forced to be on pip because of some arbitrary quota . If you need a layoff list then that’s normal but it’s completely screwed up when companies play these pip games so that performers quit and they don’t have to pay severance despite billions in profits. The entire system is a joke

Atleast Salesforce folks are getting piped for coasting, unlike amazon which pips no matter how much you deliver just to meet the quota. That’s even worst.
Will they get rid of coasters? Or it will hit the people who work hard? The entire process won’t be fair. But in comparison with Amazon, Salesforce does have it better.
