**updated post with latest info ** AWS offer for L5 role (non-swe): TC : 230k Cons: Benefits not so great 2 weeks pto 14weeks maternity leave (from day 1) and Additional 6weeks parental leave after completing 1yr. Total : 20weeks of leave Support for IVF or IUI for(2cycles) Mostly remote- may have to go to office once a week if meetings are there Salesforce offer TC : 193k Benefits are crazily good. Good maternity and parental leave(26weeks ), Unlimited pto Support for IUI or IVF ( 3 cycles) Completely remote role Ability to work internationally for 30days I am confused which one to choose. I have high regards for both the companies. But Amazon is a FAANG and I believe will add more value to my resume. At the same time, I want to have good maternity leave in case I get pregnant as we are looking to grow our family. Is the extra 6weeks of maternity leave at Salesforce equal to 37k salary difference at AWS? Recommendations from all the mothers/fathers welcome! #compensation #salary #faang
Salesforce benefits beat the difference in TC I would say. Especially the stress would compensate anything!
Asking in blind about Amazon 😅
Go to Salesforce. The stress during a pregnancy isn't worth it at AWS
Thanks for your response. I see you are from SFrce.I heard Salesforce has unlimited time off. Is this true? Or is there a fine print?
It depends on your level. SMTS and above get flexible time off which is essentially unlimited PTO
You cant avail maternity before 1 year at amazon. Source: my S/O
Oh really? I thought I could avail 4weeks of pre-pregnancy and 10weeks of post partum leave within 1 year at aws. Only the additional parental leave of 6weeks I can avail after 1year. Is my understanding wrong?
Ah yes, you are right.
More job stress will most likely affect your physical ability to have kids. You want to be calm and secure when you have a newborn. The Amazon offer could be $1 million TC and I wouldn’t touch it with a 10-foot pole. My previous manager died from job stress and my mom has had strokes due to stress so my recommendation is to discount any stress-intensive job opportunities.
Salesforce any day specially if you are thinking about expanding your family. Benefits are amazing @ salesforce. 6 months of maternity will cover up everything
salesforce!
Do you think the work load would be bad even for non-SWE roles? I would like to understand if there is a particular reason for choosing Salesforce. Thanks for your inputs
what is your role?
Of course Salesforce.
Do you think the work load would be bad even for non-SWE roles? Mine is customer solutions manager role. I would like to understand if there is a particular reason for choosing Salesforce. Thanks for your inputs.

Not swe role. This is L5 as per HR
l5 for what kind of role. l5 is a level, not role...
If you’re trying to grow your family this isn’t even close
