Hi Everyone, Need your help in deciding which offer is better in the long run. Both are consulting positions, while the Deloitte job may involve more travel. Salesforce: Role - Salesforce Solution Architect (Manager Level) Base - $162k Yearly Bonus - 15% RSU - $96k over 4 years Joining Bonus - $10k Deloitte: Role - Salesforce Manager Base - $205k Yearly Bonus - 23% RSU - Nil Joining Bonus - $30k Current TC - $185k YOE - 13 Even though there is a difference of around $40k yearly between the comps of Salesforce & Deloitte, I am leaning towards Salesforce mostly due to culture and WLB.
Salesforce any day! It’s a great Tech company and you will progress much faster there. Deloitte is a sweat shop, and it has a very very bad rep amongst consultants because of their BS culture. Even Accenture is better than Deloitte. You can ask this same question on Fishbowl, the app that consultants use. But salesforce rules.
No it does not.
Compared to FAANG probably not, but here we're comparing it to Deloitte
I’m an ex-Deloitter… I’d def recommend Salesforce. WLB prob much better, there’s a lot of firm initiative work / sales targets you’ll need to make to move up, and you’ll prob learn a whole lot more at SF
No hiring freeze in Salesforce??
I disagree with Meta comment that you will progress fast at Salesforce. Try to negotiate base to 175
Have you worked at Deloitte? I’m an ex-Consultant
Anyone here working in Salesforce Customer Success Group ( professional services/consulting division). Want to know how frequently they travel and what’s the WLB ?
Everything is remote now. No need for customer travel anymore
My husband is in Salesforce’s customer success group. He has awesome WLB and travel is about 25% but it’s all local. I work at Deloitte and have awesome WLB as well. My travel is about 40% but that’s my choice…no pressure if you don’t want to travel
Deloitte for sure. Better career path. Also HUGE Salesforce practice, you’ll get some incredible experience and biggest projects in the industry
How’s the travel these days in Deloitte?
Salesforce 100%.
Deloitte will work you into the ground. But I’m a Software Eng so can’t really speak much on the consulting side of Salesforce. I think consulting sux in general from my past experience working for a big firm.
I am in professional services at Salesforce and have worked at consulting before. Salesforce >> Deloitte
