I have two internship offers, one from Microsoft (Redmond) and another from Salesforce (San Francisco). Wondering how Salesforce is, and is it possible to negotiate up the Salesforce salary with my Microsoft offer. Microsoft: $7,850/mo + $5,000 starting bonus $7,000 housing stipend, tax grossed up Medical and vision, no premiums (If in person: rental car for $300/mo payroll deduction, or $1,200 travel stipend) Salesforce: $49.82/hr $6,000 housing stipend, tax grossed up $100/mo healthy living stipend $200 noise-cancelling headphones reimbursement Medical and vision with no premium/premiums options, dental with premiums (https://www.getsalesforcebenefits.com/en/your-benefits/health) #microsoft #salesforce #internship #negotiation
It's worth noting that if you plan on going back for full time, Salesforce pays more. I don't remember the numbers, but check levels.fyi
I compared the Bay Area salaries for Microsoft and Salesforce and they look to be about the same. First year TCs are both $175,000 assuming base L59/AMTS no negotiation, and subsequent TC is $150k MSFT vs. $159k CRM. Microsoft pays an extra $10k for Bay Area employees, but I heard that gets eaten up completely by California's income tax.
Youβre saying Microsoft pays interns almost $100K/year plus stipends and benefits? I find that hard to believe.
This is the standard intern return offer. If you donβt believe me, ask any return intern and they will tell you this is the salary we get.
Ya this looks about right
